About

My background

I’m Jess. I specialize in solving small and start-up business challenges for purpose-driven teams. With a foundation in analytical research and non-profit fiscal sponsorship, I offer a detail-oriented perspective to help teams build robust and efficient operations. I’m most passionate about working with organizations dedicated to social equity, access to scientific education, and environmental sustainability.

My approach

I lead by understanding the unique needs of each team and prioritize building authentic, collaborative partnerships. I believe that everyone I connect with has something to teach me. Within a team I can spot the unique talents that each person brings, and I enjoy creating systems and fostering cultures that recognize and cultivate those talents in a collective way.

šŸ”¬ My approach to problem solving is informed by a joy of exploration and discovery of complex systems, from my experience in cultivation and identification of novel microbial species, organizing engaging STEAM events, to making a database for any and everything. I love to connect different concepts and approach challenges for purpose-driven teams with a multi-faceted and innovative mindset.

I picked la cabrita, the little goat, because to me goats represent the kind of strength, tenacity, and grounded-ness that I approach my work with. And a little goat? She’s also very curious and goofy. šŸ
